In-depth interviews Thailand · IDI research
In-depth interviews that uncover the detail behind behaviour
One-to-one conversations for experiences, motivations, barriers and topics that need time, trust and careful probing.
When IDIs are the better fit
IDIs can be useful when the topic is personal, the respondent has a specialised experience, or the research needs to follow an individual journey in detail.
The method should follow the question. A conversation can help explore why something happens, but it should not be used to claim more than the sample supports.
Possible support
- Interview objectives and guide development
- Consumer interview moderation
- Probing and follow-up questions
- Thai context and respondent language
- Thematic notes and debriefs where agreed
